About Me

Hi, I'm Vicky! I'm from England and have been reading since forever. It's so great to have you here!

I can't remember what the first book I read was, but I remember that from an early age, my parents were always very encouraging when it came to reading. My favourite book is probably Harry Potter, but I have no idea which one! If it came down to it, I'd probably pick Philosopher's Stone or Deathly Hallows! I have a lot of favourite books though, but Harry Potter is very special to me!

I'm currently studying History at University as well as studying a course called AAT for Accounting. I'm not too sure what I want to do after I've finished University and AAT. I might be an accountant, or work in law, or work in marketing, who knows! My dream, however, is to own a house with my own office/library in it!

So you wanna know what alittlesomethingbookish is all about?

I decided to create a blog kind of on a whim, but I'd been thinking about it for a while. I'd been reading other book blogs for quite a few months so in April/May, I decided that I wanted to create my own. This blog was originally called apapertown but after joining tumblr/instagram, I found that the user was taken a lot of the time. I got the inspiration for the name from John Green's book Paper Towns, so if you guessed that before reading this, you were totally right! In January 2015, I decided I'd rename this blog alittlesomethingbookish. If you didn't guess, I got the idea from the book A Little Something Different. I was actually pretty stuck for names at first, but you can always count on a book on your bookshelf to give you a bright idea..or two in my case! Although I liked apapertown, I must say that I prefer alittlesomethingbookish a lot more!

If you've got any questions you want to ask me, leave a comment below. Alternatively, if you want to contact me, please email me at apapertown@hotmail.com (this email will remain the same, despite the blog name change) or send a tweet to me, @alittlesbookish

Have a nice day!
